Bahamas Adventure : Boat + Captain + Chef + Meals + Excursions + Toys + Fuel

Our four cabin layout accommodates her two crew plus six guests in four private cabins. Each cabin has an ensuite head and shower combo, a queen sized bed as well as climate control. Show up with a few swimsuits, sunscreen, sunglasses and a pair of flip flops. Our boat and her crew have everything else you will need for the experience of a lifetime! We offer trips in three regions of the Bahamas. 1. Exuma Islands. This is where the pig beach, the Thunderball Grotto, the mermaid piano statute, iguana beaches, sunken airplanes and the Staniel Cay yacht club are. These cruising grounds are for people who want to be playing in the water most of the time (hands down the clearest water in the Bahamas) and prefer the remote island experience. 2. Georgetown. This is one of the most popular “cruising” spots for yachts in the Bahamas. Here you’ll find miles of breathtaking beaches and beach trails, multiple beach bars, beach volleyball, a natural “lazy river”, snorkeling spots, the local “fish fry shacks” as well as multiple restaurants and bars in town with a well stocked grocery store. There is also a local straw market for souvenirs and many small shops. Georgetown is a definitely a cruising community and a boating destination. 3. Eleuthera. We consider this to be “the real Bahamas” it’s far less touristy than Georgetown or the Exumas. We’ll sail along the island stopping at local villages along the way, We can spend time on it’s beautiful pink sand beaches and taking in the local flavor. The Queens baths, underground caves, an abandoned US military base, the Glass Window as well as a very diverse selection of local restaurants and bars are all found in Eleuthera. Danielle and Brenton are very intentional about what they choose to fuel their bodies with, and they pass their high standards onto meals prepared for guests. You will find only minimally processed ingredients (pasta, flour, seasonings, cheese, butter etc) in galley stores. Fresh bread, from scratch pizza crust, hand pressed tortillas and tortilla chips are all favored over imported or store bought options. Our charters are based on self sustaining practices. They hunt and fish for as much protein as possible. Eggs are sourced locally if available, as well as fresh produce and cheese. Meats that are not sourced from the sea are not featured in Nadiya's normal menu aboard. However, if pre-request them we will pre-provision them for you. Vegans, gluten free, etc are all welcome and accommodated for aboard. It is highly encouraged that you pack any comfort snacks such as beef jerky, candy, pringles, chocolate, etc. You will most likely not find your normal snack offerings in the islands and if you do they will be very expensive. Dockage The crew prefers to anchor out and use the 12.6” tender to travel to and from the boat to shore. If you would like to stay at a local marina for one or all of your nights aboard then the crew is more than happy to facilitate this four you. However, the guests will be responsible for paying all marina and or dockage fees. Drinks Our boat has an onboard filtered drinking water tap as well as an ice machine. A water-maker is used to convert salt water into safe and delicious drinking water that has less than 200 ppm. Each guest is provided with a delightfully tacky, yet unique 16 oz stainless steel tumbler to drink out of for the trip. Single use plastic water bottles are not allowed aboard. Flavored Soda Water and Gatorade powder is Included. Soda, juice or alcoholic beverages are not provided but available for purchase. Guest are encouraged to purchase any drinks they’d like on shore with ice and place them in our large yeti cooler. Ice for the cooler is readily available for purchase onshore Packing bottles of alcohol is a great idea! Cafe Bustelo Coffee is stocked onboard with a French press and will be brewed upon request. We do not provide sweetener other than raw cane sugar, but it is available at the local market for guests to purchase. What to Pack Although the weather rarely dips below seventy degrees in the evening, it is recommended that you bring some sort of light jacket in addition to a rain jacket for trips to shore. Pack a few swimsuits, comfy clothes for relaxing, and a few outfits for going to town. Jeans are a bad idea on the boat as they typically have buttons and rivets which leave scratches and tear cushions. Jeans are not allowed in the dinghy and they ask that you refrain from packing them on this trip. Quick dry clothing is the best, as you never know when you might get caught in and afternoon rain shower or get a few splashes while riding in the dinghy. You will be surprised how light you can pack for this type of experience. Shoes are not allowed to be worn on Nadiya or in the dinghy. This way dirt and sand are not unintentionally brought from land onto the clean white decks of Nadiya and potentially scuff her services. Clean house slippers or boat shoes that have non-marking soles are an exception to the no shoes on the boat rule, as long as they are not worn on land as well. Shoes are also not allowed to be worn in the dinghy at any time. We suggest bringing a pair of flip flops to keep in the dinghy as we will be going to explore frequently. If you are a tennis shoe and sock type person feel free to pack them, just be prepared to not put them on until you are out of the dinghy and on land. A small back pack or dry bag is a great idea for trips to land. Sunglasses are a must on the water, a hat is not a bad addition, as well as packing your own sunscreen (see additional comments for sunscreen). Daily Itinerary The evening before and then the morning of, your captain will lay out your possibilities. It is up to you to communicate your needs and desires for the day. Your crew is your guide to what daily activities are possible, and what the weather will allow. They have extensively explored these regions of the Bahamas and can help point you in the right direction to all types of fun. Keep in mind that without rushing, it is not possible to see all excursions and destinations within the six day travel window. It seems as though there is never enough time in the day. But you can always book another week! (wink wink) Wanting to spend the morning in the water, lunch on the boat and an afternoon at the beach before dinner in town? Great, whatever you want! How about hitting the local shops in the morning before sailing to a remote island for sunset with lunch along the way. No problem! The crew is your there to explain the possibilities, but it is up to you to choose your own adventure! Not feeling like making decisions on your trip? That is ok too. Communication is key, just tell the crew to take you somewhere beautiful or to find something fun to do. That is what they are there for! If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay. Just hit, “Send Inquiry” and send us an inquiry for a custom offer.
