Additional Terms & Information

Know Before You Book /Go What happens if it's “Blowin’ Stink”? (or raining or lightning or just ain’t no wind?) We reserve the right to determine if the weather will prevent sailing on any given day. A full refund or rescheduling will be made in the event we cannot sail due to weather conditions. Cloudy conditions, light winds or scattered rain showers will not result in a refund or a rescheduling. Weather in the Adirondacks can be fickle so we do not depend entirely on the weather forecast and we will not cancel a cruise based solely on the forecast.  We will not cancel or reschedule prior to one hour before our scheduled departure.  All that being said, it is always best to plan for a little foul weather so bring a rain jacket or wind breaker and wear non cotton clothes that will dry quickly if they get wet. What about cancellations? Cancellations made 72 hours or more prior to a trip will be refunded 100%. Cancellations or changes made less than 72 hours before a trip and no shows will not receive any refund. Cancellations will be confirmed by email by our company.  Trips which our company cancels due to weather that cannot be rescheduled will be refunded 100%. If unexpected heavy rain or winds cause our company to terminate a sail early (within the first half of your time), a 50% refund will be offered OR your sail can be rescheduled for no fee. If our company terminates a sail during the last half of your time, your fee will be prorated. Are food and drinks allowed? Yes!  You are welcome to bring your favorite beverages, snacks, or picnic goodies with you on your cruise. There will be a cooler on board with complimentary water and ice. There are no cooking facilities.   Do you have any age restrictions? Children age 6 and older are welcome to join your crew.  The boat is equipped with Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices (PFDs) for adults and children. Children under 12 must wear life jackets at all times.  How's the access? There is about a 2 foot step from the dock to the deck of the boat with several good hand holds. Please let us know if you have some mobility issues. To be clear, this vessel is not wheel chair accessible. What about....well you know? We have a fully operational HEAD on board. Do I need any special clothing for sailing? Most people have all the necessary clothing in their wardrobe. A windbreaker, fleece and non-cotton clothing is best for sailing. Also bring sun hat, and sun screen. DON'T BRINGS: Please do not wear flip flops. We recommend some type of non-marking boat shoe or a sneaker with light-soles which will not scuff up the boat. Please do not bring spray sunscreen (or apply prior to boarding).  Do you allow pets on board? Sorry no pets or animals on board.
