The Blue Moon is the vessel we use for all our tours that will accommodate up to 6 passengers. She is a 19.5ft Tidewater center console vessel with a cloth T-Top, cushioned seats, a cooler and a Suzuki 140Hp motor. Included with the Blue Moon is the Captain, Fuel, Lifejackets, Fire Extinguisher, First Aid Kit, Ice and Bottled Water. We depart from the Folly Beach Boat Ramp, where we can cruise the tidal creeks, ride out to Sandy Pointe, look for shark teeth at Morris Island and see the Morris Island Light House. So much fun looking for dolphins and exploring the waterways near Folly Beach. PD was great with our kids, had appropriate life vests for them to wear, and alternated between pointing out landmarks, dolphins and birds, and driving "super fast" which was fun for everyone! Would highly recommend for a way to celebrate a special occasion or as part of a vacation!

This is a great trip! An easy going laid back experience…the weather was overcast which we preferred over too much sun! PD is a captain who cares. He is knowledgeable and safe! You will be in good hands during this excursion! Thank you PD!

Highly recommend! P.D. Provides a lot of information about the area/wildlife and ensures a safe and fun trip.
Capt. P.D. was born in Charleston, SC. Although he moved to the SC Foothills when he was six, his summers were spent with family in Charleston exploring the tidal creeks. Returning to the Lowcountry full-time in 2008 to attend the College of Charleston, he would graduate in 2011 with a degree in biology. Observing and learning about animals and the surrounding ecosystems has been P.D.’s passion from a young age. Exploring the islands around Charleston learning about the local ecosystem and looking for shark teeth and fossils has provided P.D. with a wealth of knowledge about the local ecosystem. In 2022, P.D. decided to turn his love of being on the water into a profession and went to school to become a captain so he could share his experiences with others.
