Bradley took up kayaking in 2013 after joining NUIG Kayak Club. After dabbling in a wide range of water sports for many years, he found he was deeply passionate about kayaking and began to immerse himself in the sport.Bradley was elected as club Captain in 2015 for GMIT after devoting hundreds of hours into the sport through all disciplines including Whitewater, Freestyle, Long Distance, and Polo. Making the Inter varsity team in all 4 disciplines since he began competing in 2014. He was also elected onto the Irish Freestyle Committee in 2015 due to his enthusiasm for the discipline. Bradley hasn’t just paddled some of the best whitewater Ireland has to offer, but has also traveled abroad, spending two weeks in the Alps paddling some of the best whitewater Europe has to offer.Bradley is no stranger to instructing either, after taking to kayaking rapidly and building a wealth of knowledge early on, he was helping instructors within 5 months in the NUIG Kayak Club. That year he pursued it further by working in the company in 2014 and 2015. In 2016 he took the reigns of the company and is back once again, eagerly anticipating another summer on the water!

Frequently Asked Questions What to Bring? Footwear – old runners or sandals – no flip flops, Wet suit if you have one, or else suitable swim wear or gym wear you don’t mind getting wet.Towel and dry clothes for after. I’ve no kayaking experience at all? Not to worry, that’s exactly what your instructors are there for. We cater for absolute beginners and aim to get you up to the best standard you can be during the duration of your time with us. I’m nervous in the water/scared of capsizing? This is something that a lot of people can feel during the initial stages of their newly found kayaking career. However, with time, we hope to bring everyone up to a standard that they can comfortably paddle within a group. Everybody will be wearing a buoyancy aid, so even if you do happen to take a tumble you’ll be able to keep your head above water with minimal effort (x10 easier than treading water in a pool!)
