Designed by Umberto Felci and built by Dufour Yachts in 2007, this Dufour 44 Performance is a sailboat that combines safety, comfort, and sportiness. Manufactured to the highest standards, its construction category is oceanic, and it is certified for a maximum of 12 passengers. With simple lines, its exterior design is elegant and sporty, with a wide, obstacle-free bow, perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. Its cockpit is spacious, equipped with a table, speakers, and a canopy, perfect for enjoying summer days. Its interior is one of its strong points, very spacious and bright, with wardrobes in all cabins and great stowage capacity. Versatile with 4 cabins and 2 bathrooms, it comfortably accommodates 8 people, while the convertible salon table can seat 2 more passengers. The cabins have 2x1.50m beds, and the interior height is no less than 1.90m, making it an interesting option even for taller individuals. On the more technical side, the Dufour 44 Performance is a very competitive cruising racer, fast in all wind directions and conditions. Its track record is enviable, having won the Copa del Rey twice, accelerating at the slightest breeze, and its large wheel offers precision and excellent sensitivity, making it enjoyable even for the most demanding sailors. The equipment is as complete as you can imagine, with a fully equipped kitchen, fishing gear (coastal, deep-sea, squid), snorkeling gear, paddleboarding, a professional camera, GoPro, drone, board games, Spotify, etc., to turn these days into your unforgettable vacation. ABOUT THE CAPTAIN AND OWNER Getting to know the captain with whom you’ll share your leisure time is one of the most important aspects, so let me introduce myself: My name is Didac, and I was born in Barcelona 40 years ago. I’m a yacht captain and professional skipper, as well as a mechanical engineering technician from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. I hold 4 professional SCTW specialty certificates: basic safety training, restricted SM operator, rescue boat training, and initial specific medical training. I’ve been a skipper since 2009, participated in numerous coastal and offshore regattas, and have extensive knowledge of the Catalan coast and the Balearic Islands. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, and French, and I combine my passion for the sea with traveling, having visited over 40 countries across 4 continents. My dream is to one day sail around the world. I’m fully professionalized, meaning I dedicate 100% of my time to sailing and personally taking care of the sailboat, both aesthetically and mechanically. As the owner, I care about every little detail, and after each reservation, I clean and disinfect the sailboat, both indoors and on deck, ensuring a healthy, Covid-free space. I prepare all reservations in advance, tailored to my clients' preferences, studying the weather in detail, and offering advice to make the experience extraordinary. Some of my strengths include flexibility, empathy, and a passion for what I do. Both the sailboat and I are friendly to the LGTBIQ+ community. We know pets are part of the family, so we welcome them on board. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - Option to sail for 2h, 3h, or 4h. Ask me! - Boarding time for a full day is at 10:00 am, with disembarkation around 7:00 pm; I am very flexible with this and will accommodate your requests. - If you want to spend the night on the sailboat, you must select at least 2 days. - The sailboat is very safe and prepared to go to the Balearic Islands; considering that 2 days are spent on the round-trip, I recommend at least 5 days to go to Menorca or Mallorca and 7 days for Ibiza and Formentera. - Yes, you can take the helm and learn as much as you like; I love teaching. - If we sail for more than one day, unless for safety reasons, I leave it up to my clients to choose whether to spend the night anchored in a cove or moored in a harbor. - Food and drink are provided by my clients; there is a large fridge to store them and a kitchen to prepare meals. I recommend simple food that doesn’t require much preparation. Prepared meals are a good option. - If it rains or is cloudy, the reservation still stands. If there’s a storm warning, I’ll notify you in advance and suggest rescheduling. If rescheduling is not possible, you’ll receive a refund depending on the selected insurance. - My phone number will appear once the reservation is made, and we can confirm all the details personally.
