She sails Goa’s gorgeous coastline, and her gentle, romantic rivers and backwaters. But to our family, she is so much more than that: sheis the reason why we moved our home across six-hundred kilometres from Mumbai to Goa so that we could experience some of our lives' happiest moments and share the joy she brings with the world. You could have the Solita to yourselves for a family reunion, a corporate celebration or the perfect romantic setting just for two. With her spacious decks, lounge room and two en-suite cabins, the Solita is perfect for just about any occasion. Four crew members, including a Captain and an Engineer who have been with the Solita from the day she was built, will care for you and up to twenty-six guests. The Solita was built by Bristol Boats in Cochin in 1992 and arrived in Goa in April 1993. At that time there were only about ten families in India who owned a luxury yacht. The Solita became the first yacht in India that was available for charter. Being the first yacht in India which was available for charter, the Solita quickly drew an exclusive clientele from India and abroad. Many favourable write-ups appeared in the national newspapers and life-style magazines so, slowly, a cruise on the yacht became a must on the itinerary of the more affluent and discerning travellers to Goa. In fact, the Solita became somewhat of a legend in Goa with a song written about her by India's premier rock star, Remo Fernandes. Now, after 27 years, the Solita still occupies a special place in Goan waters and she has the same crew with whom we started out in 1993. Captain Jim and Engineer Danny, both always immaculately dressed in navy white uniforms, will meet you at the jetty and look forward to take you on a cruise along the inland waters or out to sea.
