Have a blast on beautiful Lake Gaston! Our 2022 Viranda Vistaview 150HP Tritoon rips at over 30mph with a light crew, and even fully loaded with 13 persons there's plenty of power to tow the included tubes, wakeboard, or kneeboard. If you're never ridden a Tritoon before, you're in for a treat. Tritoons handle like a hull boat with tight cornering and performance, but like all pontoons, they're hugely spacious. Multiple families can spend all day on the water in comfort, especially when you throw out the huge Lily Pad. It's like your go-anywhere private island. Cruise to Watersview Restaurant for dinner on the water, pull up to Goat Island for beach and BBQ, or drop anchor at one of the many quiet coves to splash and sunbathe. Boat comes with 6 adult life jackets, 4 youth, 4 child, and 1 infant jacket. NOTE: Two-day minimum rental. Pickup at 9am, drop off at 4pm. Pickup and drop-off at Eaton Ferry Marina. No trailering; you must have your own dock to keep the boat at overnight. Lizard Creek Culvert (under Lizard Creek Rd / River Rd), Songbird Creek Culvert (Under Ebony Rd), and Great Creek Culvert (under Hwy 903/93) are too narrow to fit the boat. If your house is behind these culverts (the culverts are the concrete tunnels where roads pass over the creeks) we unfortunately can’t rent to you. TOYS: The wake board is adjustable and should fit most teenagers/adults. The kneeboard is the easiest to use for beginners. There are two tubes: a two-person model with chair back and a disc-type that can be ridden with one or two people. Lastly, we have a 6'x12' floating island you can tether to the boat (when still, do NOT drag it) or your dock. These items are big and bulky, so leave whatever you do aren't using at home. There are two ropes provided. The stretchy one is for the tubes. The taut one is for skiing/boarding. Have fun! If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay. Just hit, “Send Booking Inquiry” and send us an inquiry for a custom offer. Great rental. Very easy to pickup rental. Owner and/or representative quick to answer any questions. He also provided a floating lily pad and towable float with the rental. Would definitely recommend use of his rental to anyone looking on Lake Gaston. We hope to be able to rent from him again next year.

This was a great opportunity. The boat was large and spacious, comfortable, and plenty of power to pull all kinds of water toys. Equipped with a stereo, depth finder, and all the water toys you could think of. Definitely had a great time on the lake!! Would certainly do this again without hesitation.

We had a superior experience renting with Gene. This is a fantastic boat with all the toys, perfect for our large group. Gene was highly communicative about the rental, and he and his on-site liaison made for seamless pickup and drop-off. We will rent with Gene again, and highly recommend both the boat and the owner to anyone looking for a great experience on Lake Gaston.

Gene's boat is great and is the nicest pontoon we have rented on Lake Gaston. It's in great shape, can pull tubes for the kids, and is a breeze to drive. And it's surprisingly really good on gas I found. Crystal who helped us with the pickup and drop-off was great to work with and very easy to get ahold of. We had a great time and would recommend Gene's boat to anyone else. Hope to be back!
As a missionary kid, I grew up in the Caribbean and love the water. My wife and I have five children and are looking forward to years of Summer fun on the lake. We hope you'll have as much fun on "The Mackerel" as we do!
You’ll get directions to the departure location when you make a booking.
Full refund up to 14 days prior.
RENTAL DETAILS Pickup and drop-off at Eaton Ferry Marina. No trailering; you must have your own dock to keep the boat at overnight. Lizard Creek, Songbird Creek, and Great Creek culverts are too narrow to fit the boat, so if your house is behind these culverts (the culverts are the concrete tunnels where roads pass over the creeks) we unfortunately can’t rent to you. Two-day minimum rental. Pickup at 9am, drop off at 4pm. The local boat manager will contact you the week before your rental. The boat manager will meet you on site to complete an orientation of the boat and do pre and post walkthroughs, just like renting a car. To honor the property manager's time, late arrivals will be charged $1 per minute after a 5 minute grace period. Per NC Law, any operators born after 1988 will need to show proof of a valid boater's license. The boat will start with a full tank of gas and must be returned full, so be sure to bring a credit card with you on the water and leave time to fill up before drop off. HELPFUL WARNINGS 1. DON'T beach the vessel as hidden rocks WILL damage the hull and propeller. There are public docks at Goat Island and several other spots, but the easiest and most fun option is to pick any quiet cove you want to toss out the anchor and swim from the boat. 2. The bimini MUST be lowered to go under any of the bridges. We didn't know this and tore it off our very first day on the water. I still haven't told my wife how much it costs and you won't want to tell yours either. 3. ALWAYS keep the motor fully lowered. Lake Gaston is deep. You should never have to raise the motor unless you're beaching the craft, which is NOT allowed. Running the motor out of the water will burn it up that fifteen-thousand-dollar machine in literal seconds. 4. NEVER have the motor on while swimming. The only thing between the propeller and you is water. Make sure it's off. GetMyBoat has a $500 security "allowance". This is not a prepaid amount or hold, but a threshold up to which GMB will bill your card for minor additional expenses such as gas or a missing anchor, and we have to provide receipts before GMB will charge you. At check-in and out, the property manager will look at the bimini, prop, seats, and toys/accessories. As long as there's no damage and the gas tank is full, you're good to go! If there’s major damage above the amount of the security allowance, we will send you a bill directly for receipts for repairs / replacements plus a 20% administrative charge that will be due within one week of receipt, paid directly to us (GMB doesn't handle it). We’re not here to be difficult or surprise anyone with charges. If you damage the boat by doing something stupid…we’ve been there too. Just let us know and let’s get it squared up. Please take all trash with you, make sure all the accessories and toys are stowed where you found them, and generally leave it ready for the next guest. Thanks and happy sailing!
