Basic Sailing Course 8 sessions (3 hrs each) Scope: On board/in class which introduces dinghy sailing and the basic information to get safely afloat under supervision. The course covers rigging, launching and the skills needed to allow the successful candidate to be able to sail confidently in all directions. It offers knowledge required to sail independently. Objectives: The student understands the basic theory and practical applications in the syllabus. The student will have capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge and be capable of sailing without an instructor on board in light winds. We recommend to take the sessions on consecutive days. You may schedule to have 1-2 sessions per day. Safety Reminders: > Guests are required to sign a waiver for security purposes and must be able to swim with PFD (Personal Flotation Device). > Guests are highly recommended to wear rash guard, sunscreen and closed shoes preferably water shoes for safety.
