Charter season begins May 15st and runs till October 31st.  Join us for an exclusive Hamptons Sailing experience aboard the 42-foot American-built Catalina Cruising Monohull for up to 6 person.  Rate: • $300 per hour (minimum of 4 hours. Getmyboat fees not included. Premium pricing may be applied to holidays) What You Can Expect: After departing the mooring and leaving the harbor behind, we will begin our cruise through Gardiners Bay and Peconic Bay. During our two and three hour charters we will set the sails, turn off the engine, and glide along the tranquil waters of Eastern Long Island which offers views of the historic waterfront mansions and beautiful beaches. Charters that run four hours or longer allow us the opportunity to drop anchor, deploy our luxurious pool floats and water beds, and go for a dip in the sparkling waters. Bring your own refreshments to be kept cold in our onboard refrigerator and enjoy an ice cold beverage as we sail. Turn up your favorite summer playlists on our state-of-the-art built-in bluetooth sound system. Catch some rays in the sun or relax in the shade under the awning and bimini top. You can bring your own food/drinks or we can provide catering! What To Expect Onboard: Our 42-foot, American-built Catalina is a fully equipped sailing yacht designed for comfort and performance. The partially shaded cockpit comfortably seats six passengers around the table and has surround sound speakers built in. The foredeck provides plenty of room for laying out and catching some rays. The interior has a large table with wraparound couches, a refrigerator, and two bathrooms which are all available to our guests. The 155% genoa, fully battened mainsail and deep draft keep provide an extremely comfortable and smooth sailing experience. Included: • Built in speaker system with bluetooth • Wine glasses, cups, plates, serving bowls and cutlery • Drinking water • Lavatory • Deck cushions • Blankets • Towels • Water beds & pool toys (book our custom swimming excursions) • Blender (for frozen drinks) Also Available Upon Request: • Snacks and drinks (meat and cheese plates, chips, hummus, salsa, guacamole, chocolate, etc) • Dinner, brunch, sushi, sandwiches • Flower arrangements • Photographer • Anything else, just ask! We had a great day out on the water with Nate! He was very flexible with starting a bit later due to the weather and had great communication overall. He and his crew are very kind and professional. The boat is great and this is a must-do while you are in the Hamptons!

Our trip with Nate was awesome. He is a great host and made our trip incredibly comfortable and fun. He took us on a great route - where we were able to swim in clear waters, and get a good view of surrounding areas. Highly recommend! Went way above our expectations!

We offer private charters, sailing lessons, and sailing courses aboard our 42-foot Catalina sailboat, 35 foot classic sailboat, and 20 foot center console, all based in Sag Harbor. Capt. Nate began sailing professionally in 2007 and started True Sailing in NYC in 2017. He moved his operation to the Hamptons amid the chaos of the Covid pandemic in 2020. Since then he and his crew have taken out hundreds of groups on sailing charters and fishing charters on the stunning waters of Peconic and Gardiner's Bays. With all the toys, swim floats, paddle boards, noodles, and fishing rods at their disposal, along with the numerous delicious catering options on offer in the Village of Sag Harbor, True Sailing has been one of the communities favorite and most reliable boating options for many years. Come join us and see for yourself what experienced crew and beautiful boats we have at your service. We look forward to sailing with you soon. - The True Sailing Team

Additional Terms & Information

Weather The weather can change quickly in the Hamptons and oftentimes for the better. For this reason we wait until an hour before the charter for the Captain to make a determination on whether the boat sails or not. We are constantly keeping an eye on the weather stations, and radar to track how it progresses.  If we need to cancel, we will call you at least an hour prior to your charter and reschedule your sail to a mutually agreeable date and time at no cost to you. Please note that it is the Captain who makes the call - should you opt to reschedule of your own accord, rescheduling fees will apply. We cannot refund booked charters on account of bad weather. In short, we do not want to go sailing in bad weather as much as you do not, and we avoid doing so whenever possible. We are very reasonable when deciding whether to sail or to reschedule.   If your charter coincides with severe weather conditions, we can reschedule your booking to any available date prior to October 31st of  the same year. Cancellation For safety reasons, We reserves the right to cancel your charter at any time due to severe weather conditions or a mechanical failure. In such an event, your sail will be rescheduled, at no additional charge, to a mutually available date prior to October 31st of the current calendar year. There are no refunds. Severe weather is determined solely by the Captain of the vessel. Substance Abuse The use of illegal substances is forbidden on board the vessel, as is underage use of alcohol and tobacco. Violating this rule will terminate the charter and there will be no refund. Risks By chartering a sail, you acknowledge that at marinas and aboard sailboats there is an inherent risk of personal injury or accident. You agree to release and hold harmless, its owners, and employees from liability and responsibility for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death, however caused, including but not limited to product defect or the negligence of the released parties. You have discussed the risks with your invitees and they agree to release and hold harmless the owners and employees of the company in the same manner as you have as stated in the above paragraph. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify the owners and employees of the company from any claims brought by your invitees. Medical If medical treatment is necessary for you or your invitees, you will be fully responsible for paying such expenses. Authority without limitation is granted to the company and it assigns in all medical matters to hospitalize and treat you and your invitees. Disputes All disputes shall be governed by Federal Maritime Law. In any action against the company, its owners, or employees, which results in a decision, judgment, decree, order, stipulation, or settlement that substantially upholds the company position, the adversary party shall reimburse our attorney’s fees, court costs, and expenses.
