During two hours one of our instructor will teach you all the basics of kite flying. You will learn how to setup a kite, then discover the concepts of "wind window", the safety systems, the do's and don'ts. That will last a good 45min to an hour. The remaining of the lesson will be spent handling a small kite in shallow water. You will learn to get pulled gently in the "body drag" position and also how to relaunch your kite in case it falls in the water. Board Work Lesson - 2 Hours If you have just done your discovery lesson, the next step is board work. What does that mean? Well yes, it's time to get you on the board now! Our instructor will take you out with our boat, to make sure you have no obstacle downwind. You will practice sending the kite into the window to generate some pull and go downwind without the board at first. The idea is to get you used to how to kite behaves when asked to pull you. Once confident doing this, you will learn how to put the board on your feet and after that, how to get up on the board! Most people won't really manage that last part by the end of this lesson but they will have got their first taste of it! and the first few face plants ;) Additional Board Work Lesson - 2 Hours After your discovery lesson and your first board work lesson, you will need to take more lessons until you are confident tacking both ways upwind. The very best students will be able to do it after their second board work lesson. Most students will need a total of 4 board work lessons to be an independent kiter. Gear Rental We have a range of latest equipment from the market leader North Kiteboarding. You can choose: • Kites between 3.5m and 15m • Standard Trust bars or the revolutionary Click bar • Twin tips from 130cm to 155cm • Surfboard • Foil board with short or long masts • Wetsuits, helmets, life vest, shoes We offer the equipment rental to proficient riders, with the ability to Ride both directions upwind and can handle choppy conditions and small waves. IKO level 3 or equivalent. Must have had at least 1 year experience operating a Kite. They must understand the right of way rules and safe distances. If any damage to the equipment during rental period the renter is liable and no exceptions. The renter also takes 100% responsibility for their own safety and the safety of other beach users in and out of the water. Advanced Private Lesson You are an autonomous kiter and can kite back and forth just fine on your own but you would like to improve your level. Learn to do jumps, ride a strapless surfboard, do kiteloops, Air gybe your foil?? Whatever it might be, we can help. Lessons start with a quick 5min theory where your instructor will give you important tips and commun mistakes to avoid. You will then head on the water followed by your instructor. He will also be riding so he can demonstrate what to do, unless he feels he can be of more help giving you pointers from one of our boats. Pricing includes usage of school equipment. Subtract 15 Eur per hour if using own equipment. Hydrofoil Course Welcome to the fastest growing sector of the kitesurfing market. A lot of kiters who have mastered the twin tip or surfboard and looking for a new challenge and want the ultimate feeling of floating and gliding over the water....this is it! The great thing about riding the Hydrofoil is its massive wind range, a 10m kite will get you up riding in 12knots or less, and keep riding well into 20 knots.... Below is the course structure with our purpose built coaching equipment from North Kiteboarding and full support from our instructor and safety boat. 1hr Lesson Get the theory lesson, head out on the water with a short mast to facilitate the hydrofoil's control. Target of the lesson is to manage some short flights and get familiar with how to handle to foil in the water. 2hr Lesson Manage some longer flights. Work on body positioning as well as kite position to be more "locked" into a flying position. 3hr Lesson Switch to the longer mast and try to apply all you learned on the short mast, to the longer mast.
