Come and enjoy a day on the Oswego River. The second largest tributary on Lake Ontario, the Oswego has excellent runs of king salmon, brown trout, and steelhead. Starting mid September and going through the end of October king salmon dominate the river. Kings are powerful and an absolute blast to fish for. In late October We start to see good numbers of big brown trout. Often tipping the scales at 10lbs, brown trout are large and can be voracious feeders. Gorging themselves on salmon eggs, preparing for their own spawn in November. November brings the crown jewel of Lake Ontario tributary fish in: Steelhead. A super sized rainbow trout that are fast, acrobatic and beautiful. Brown trout and steelhead winter over in the river and provide excellent fishing through winter and into May.
