I’m a licensed 100-ton Master Merchant Marine with over 20 years of experience as a captain. Since 1975, I’ve been piloting boats and have had the privilege of cruising and delivering vessels around the globe. As a charter captain and owner of Paradiso Yacht Charters, I operate a diverse fleet of vessels in Newport Beach, California, ranging from a sailboats to a luxurious yachts. I’m also passionate about teaching sailing and vessel handling, certified by insurance companies to train and test new boat owners for insurance qualifications. I love sharing our ocean with others, especially when they get to witness the awe-inspiring sights of dolphins, sea lions, and majestic whales along our beautiful California coastline.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when renting from Paradiso Boat Rentals Newport Beach. The boats are only allowed to be rented during daylight hours, 7 days a week. After-hours rentals are only allowed if you hire a certified driver. The insurance carried by the rental company only covers the rental company. Third party insurance is available for the renter and highly recommended. After reserving your rental, Boat Rentals Newport Beach will send you a waiver and the link to get the insurance. Holidays and special dates in the harbor, there is an increase in the rate which will be reflected in your quote. Paradiso boat rentals newport beach is dog friendly. Each rental has a cooler onboard and we offer complimentary ice. Children under 12 years of age or under 90 lbs are required by law to wear a life jacket. Paradiso does not allow fishing or swimming off of their rentals. The Harbor does not allow mylar balloons. If you cancel, the rental company offers a full refund after the vessel is rented by another party for the same time slot. We also offer a one time rescheduling prior to your original rental date in lieu of any refund if that is preferable. Parking is always a bi*ch in Newport Beach so I recommend a rideshare app if you can. The city uses the ParkMobile app for metered parking. If you do find parking, having an account already set up on your phone makes your life much easier. Also, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your charter time so the dock crew has time for vessel and safety briefing to get you underway at your start time. I recommend the 2 hour rental if you want to make one full lap around the harbor.
