A large and well maintained vessel! While it's not a lightening fast sailing vessel, it felt stable and no one felt even a tiny bit "seasick". This was fantastic activity for our 3 generation family reunion (3 siblings, their children and even a few grandkids.) The 4 hour excursion on Lake Washington went by quickly. Highly recommended!!
We boarded the Christine W. to go out on Lake Union to view the 4th of July fireworks and we received nothing but the best hospitality and the experience was one we will all cherish! Absolutely an amazing experience and highly recommended!

Frequently Asked Questions What if I need to cancel? If you need to reschedule or cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible. Most charters and adventures are considered standard charters. If you cancel less than 7 days before your scheduled sailing or an excessive number of times, your deposit will be forfeited. All custom charters have a 30-day cancellation policy, and any custom charter canceled with less than 30-day’ notice is subject to forfeit of full deposit. When should I arrive? For our smaller charters on Solana and 'Fraid Knot (6 people or fewer), arrive up to 10 minutes before your scheduled departure time. For our larger charters, please arrive at the boarding time, which is usually 15-25 minutes prior to departure. You are welcome to arrive early and dine at one of the many restaurants around the area. If you arrive early, you will likely find us preparing the boat for departure, so please be patient and enjoy the view. What should I wear? On days when the forecast holds rain, we recommend dressing in layers and wearing comfortable clothing. When in doubt, bring additional warm clothing; you can always choose not to wear it, and we have room to safely store backpacks. We do have extra hats, gloves, jackets, and rain gear, so if you forget or become cold, just let us know. We also have plenty of blankets to cuddle up under. Shoes: We recommend non-marking comfortable footwear. We don't recommend wearing flip flops, heelless sandals, or high heels, as these types of footwear fall off and can be a tripping hazard. What if it rains? We sail rain or shine unless the weather is dangerous, such as thunderstorms. While we recommend dressing for the weather, we have waterproof blankets and extra coats that you may borrow to stay dry and comfortable. Can I bring food and drink? You are welcome to bring food and drink including adult beverages. Please be responsible when drinking; if you or anyone in your group become reckless or dangerous, we will end the charter early. We have extra glasses, plates, flatware, and a wine opener on-board. For our half-day charters on Solana, we have a bbq on board which you are welcome and encouraged to use. Please do let us know should you want to utilize this option. Is gratuity included in the price of the sail? Our captains and crews love sailing and work hard to provide a relaxing, customized experience for your adventure. Tipping for charter boats and tours is the customary way to show your appreciation. However, gratuity is completely optional and at your personal discretion. Can children come on the sail? Of course! Sailing is a safe activity that everyone in the family can enjoy, and you would be surprised how at ease children are on the water. We even offer youth programs and sailing lessons. What if there is no wind? There is usually wind on the Lake Union, even the slightest breeze is enough to move a sailboat, but our boats do have electric motors so we can glide silently around the lake if needed and return to shore without needing wind power. Can I swim alongside the boat? With the captain's permission, you are welcome to swim alongside the boat, safety permitting of course. Where do we sail? Most of our adventures are on the Lake Union, and it usually takes about an hour to sail around the lake. Sailing to Lake Washington takes an hour because we have to pass through drawbridges. Because of this delay, we typically reserve sailing on Lake Washington for half-day adventures. Sailing to the Puget Sound takes approximately two hours each way so we would recommend a full-day sail if you want to sail on the sound.
