I am Leonardo, I am 36 years old, the 8th of 11 siblings,, Darien my 10 years old son, Samantha 2 12 and Alexia 1 year old, represents all for me, I am in a relationship with Estefania, both of us love Tortuguero it's nature and are eager to meet you and be helpful to you in your great adventure in Costa Rica. When I was at secondary one of my beloved uncles invited me, to visit a beautiful property that he owned on Tortuguero near to the Tortuguerorsquos Hill, the beautiful property is located between the Caribbean sea and canal (Cantildeo Palma) Along Cantildeo Palma there are several private properties including Vista al Mar Lodge, Turtle Beach Lodge, and a Canadian Biological Station COTERC, that was the first time. I went to Tortuguero and without I realized it, my passion for wildlife have started there. I moved to Tortuguero to my uncle`s hotel Vista al Mar Lodge, there I started as gardener and English interpreter and every time we had customers right there my passion for nature started there little by little. I made my first steps to learned about Tortuguerorsquos biodiversity, after a while, I moved to couple of local resorts of the area to work as local tour guide for about 3 years, then I have worked for travel agencies as freelance tour guide (and at the same time I made my certifications as Costa Rican`s general tour guide and some English tests to get certified too), from then on, I decided to fully dedicated myself as Naturalist tour guide and to create an tour operator for 6 years ago now day. I like to meet people and learn about their cultures and show my culture and share my knowledge about Tortuguerorsquos biodiversity, with a professional treatment, applying all update information regarding wildlife behavior, medical plant usage and new techniques and equipment while developing the excursions, and immersing you in the way of best approaching of natural resources, and its conservation, without harming it, so that, will ensure fill your expectations and bring your maximum satisfaction for the activities developed and the low payment made!
