Live bait fishing because it allows me to engage with people of all different skill levels. Occasionally I will use artificial lures, but live bait is what I use for the majority of my charters. Where Do You Fish? I inshore fish the oyster bars, spoil islands, docks and grass flats of all the gulf-coastal waters including St. Petersburg, St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Redington Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, and Clearwater Beach as well as most parts of Tampa Bay. I also near-shore fish reefs and hard-bottom up to nine miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. Where Do We Leave From? My fishing changes throughout the year to adjust to the seasons and the fish, but my favorite place to leave from is Bay Pines Boat Ramp, 9600 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL 33744. What Time Do You Leave? It depends on what the tides are doing, but typically, I leave the dock between 7 and 9 am. What Should I Bring? All charters include license, live bait, rods, reels, tackle, ice and bottled water. Just bring a lunch, drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and your enthusiasm for a great day on the water. How Many People Can Fish? On my boat I can fish 1-6 people Can I Keep My Catch? Most folks do catch-and-release, but I will clean and bag your catch if you’d like to take it home for dinner. I can also recommend several area restaurants that will cook your catch. Do I Need Fishing License? All necessary licenses are included in your charter. How do I pay? I accept cash and checks as well as Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards. Payment is due at the time of departure.
