Boat Rental without Licence in Hydra

We would like to recommend that you read the boat rental’s Terms and Conditions of use before making your reservation. When you receive your boat, it will be asked you to sign a formal statement that you understand and agree • A day before the departure you have to inform us the time you desire to depart, according to your program. During the arrival at the determined pick-up point of the boat you will be required to sign all those necessary documents so as to rent the boat and arrange any outstanding financial obligations. Upon the delivery of the boat there is a detailed demonstration of the boat and the equipment while it’s given for signature a declaration of acceptance of the boat and the list of the equipment that it brings. Also, it is provided detailed information to you about security procedures and information useful for the boat usage and the equipment. Upon the delivery of the boat, the company will be given the Charter Party, which you should check and sign. The charterer will present an official document ID, such as ID, passport or driving license. 1. The charterer acknowledges the good situation of the boat before the rental and that all required equipment is included. 2. The charterer agrees to return the boat and all equipment in the same condition as it was before the rental. 3. The charterer must return the boat until sunset. In case of earlier return no refund will be resulted. 4. No other person than the signatory of this agreement is permitted to use the boat. Moreover, the charterer is not permitted to use the rental boat while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other substances. 5. The charterer confirms that will not approach with the boat in swallow waters, rocky or swimming areas less than 200 meters safety distance. 6. In case of any damage or accident, the charterer agrees to interrupt the trip and report it immediately to the company. 7. The charterer expressly agrees to pay any kind of dept to the company. 8. The charterer confirms that the boat is insured for 500.000€ for personal injuries towards others, 150.000€ for damages to people on the boat or other people caused by collision, sinking or other cause and 150.000€ for causing sea pollution. 9. The charterer agrees that the boat will not be occupied by a greater number of persons than declared in the license of the boat. 10. The operator of the boat should be above 18 years old. 11. The operator of the boat or any other person on it isn’t allowed to interfere with the engine of the boat, unless in case of emergency they have taken permission by the company. 12. In case of damage or destruction of the rental boat, the charterer is obliged to pay the exemption amount of mixed insurance of the boat defined by the current boat insurance contract. 13. The boat is delivered to the charterer with full fuel tank. The fuel cost burdens the charterer at the end of the leasing. 14. The boat is equipped with all required lifesaving appliances, firefighting equipment and first aid kit in accordance with the regulations of the Hellenic Coast Guard. 15. The company reserves the right to modify the excursion route due to weather conditions. 16. The charterer must not use the vessel in any of the following ways: · For any use not intended by the manufacturer. · In any type of race or competitive event. · For any illegal purpose or in an illegal manner. · To carry any type of hazardous or explosive substance. · To push or tow any other boat, tubes, skis or other water toys. · In a reckless, abusive or negligent manner. · If further use may cause damage to boat or motor (warning light or buzzer on). · In violation of the terms and conditions of this agreement in any way. · Outside of approved use area. · In no event shall customer sub-lease boat to another person or entity. Charterer’s rights under this agreement are non-transferable. · If boat is obtained by fraud or misrepresentation, is used for an illegal purpose or in violation of these conditions in any way, all rights to the use of the boat are revoked and subsequent use is without owner’s permission. In any such case, SeaStar Boat Rentals has the right to immediately repossess the boat and keep all rental fees and charge customer for any damage to boat. 17. The company has no responsibility for any loss or damage of personal belongings of the charterer and the persons attending the boat during the charter. • For the boat Poseidon, as charterers have an obligation to prepay as a damage deposit amount of € 500 (in cash), which is returned upon termination of the lease and the final inspection upon return of the boat. • As tenants you have the obligation to pay as guarantee for any damages that may occur, the amount of 300euros (in cash) which is refundable upon termination of the lease and the final check at the receipt of the boat. • We reserve the right to refuse to rent to anyone when our staff feels that you are not capable of safely operating our boats or of understanding the terms of the rental agreement. Customers must also have an operational cellular phone on board and leave it switched on so that SeaStar Boat Rentals can contact them for emergencies or any other information. The operator should: • avoid dangerous manoeuvres. • prohibit passengers from standing or sitting on the handrail of the boat. • approach the beach with caution, outside the bathing facilities, keeping a safety distance of at least 200 meters from bathers and at a speed not exceeding 1 knot. If you need to approach a coast, reduce your speed to a minimum. • make sure the anchor is “set” and the engine is off before anyone dives into the water. • keep course to the right in channels and ports at a speed of less than 5 knots. • Always keep in mind the propeller. Α propeller accident can be fatal. Stay away from shallows and rocks to prevent the prop from hitting any surface. No beaching allowed! A damaged propeller can set the boat adrift. • Κeep an eye on your fuel level and make sure you have enough to sail back. • Reduce speed in case of high waves due to bad weather or high waves from other boats. Cancellation Policy due to Weather Conditions • On the day the boat is hired, if the wind intensity exceeds 5 Beaufort and the port authorities do not allow it, it will be impossible to rent. Rental will take place the next day as the weather conditions allow. If this is impossible, then the company will refund the total amount. • You cannot sail if the weather conditions are bad as well as before the sunrise or after the sunset. • You will be informed 1-2 hours before the departure for potential cancellation by the company.
