Once you feel safe and know how to handle the equipment, you’re ready for the real deal! Your diving instructor will take you for a dive in the sea to explore the amazing underwater world of Madeira! Meeting Time: 9.30 Am Or 14.00 Program The content of this program represents about half of a complete scuba diving certification program (Open Water Diver). The course includes: • 3 theory lessons with a qualified Instructor • 3 training swimming pool sessions  • 2 adventurous dives in the sea • complete scuba diving equipment • teaching materials • worldwide recognized SSI Certification, which entitles to take part in dives under the direct supervision of a Dive Professional up to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet all over the world. Advanced Adventurer Course This program was created so you can try out a variety of speciality courses before you commit to completing a full course. It’s a great way to experience what advanced training is all about and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures. Meeting Time: 9.30 Am Program During the Advanced Adventurer Program you will have the chance to try out 5 different specialities. You will complete one open water training dive per speciality: our program includes 4 open water dives in our lovely house reef and 1 boat dive (usually the deep dive – up to 30 meters/ 100 feet depth) around the famous Ponta de São Lourenço. The Diver Stress & Rescue program will take 3 days to teach you about accident prevention and how to handle situations that might occur. You will learn how to avoid, recognize, and solve problems on the surface and underwater. Enhance your safety! Meeting Time: 9.30 Am Program of the course: Stress is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. Through this course you will learn accident prevention, as well as how to handle problem situations if they occur. The program is about avoiding, recognizing and solving problems on the surface and underwater. The course runs 3 days in which you will participate in academic and in-water sessions in the pool and in the open water. Meeting Time: 9.30 Am Program of the course: Morning – theory session: you will learn what is Nitrox, how your body reacts to Nitrox in the underwater world, how your Total Diving system works with Nitrox, and how to plan your Nitrox dives. Afternoon – practical session: you will complete a Nitrox dive in our house reef under the direct supervision of one of our qualified instructors. Meeting Time: 9.30 Am Program Day 1: you will learn the theoretical principles of deep diving. To plan and complete your dives properly you must first know about all of the potential risks involved in deep diving. After the theory session, you will enjoy a boat dive up to 30mt/100feet depth under the direct supervision of one of our qualified instructors. Day 2: you will complete two more deep dives, to a maximum depth of 40 meters / 130 feet. SSI’s Deep Diving Specialty course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience required to make deep dives safely and comfortably. This certificate entitles you to take part in dives with a buddy up to a maximum depth of 40 meters/130 feet • Certification fees if you choose PADI • Food • Drinksall over the world. Dive Guide SSI - Divemaster PADI Much as the SSI Open Water Diver course opened the door to diving, the SSI Dive Guide program will open the door to leadership, which allows you to enjoy diving on an entirely different level. SSI Dive Guide or Dive Guide not Active Specialty (can only guide friends, find the program under specialty’s) This program is an introduction into the world of Dive Professionals. As a Dive Guide you will be qualified to lead certified divers on a variety of scuba diving adventures. Dive Guides are required to work through an active SSI Dive Center and, when necessary, with an active SSI Instructor. Meeting Time: 9.30 Am As a certified and active SSI Dive Guide you can: • Give underwater tours to certified scuba divers • Teach Snorkel Diving after passing the Snorkel Instructor Module • Issue Snorkel Diver certifications Not Included: • Certification fees if you choose PADI • Food • Drinks Other requirements • Be at least 18 years old (15 years for the specialty) • Have a personal Total Diving System • Have a current medical exam for scuba diving not older than 1 year and signed by a licensed medical practitioner. • Hold an SSI Advanced Adventurer Diver certification or equivalent • Hold a SSI Diver Stress & Rescue certification or equivalent • Hold a SSI Navigation, Night/Limited Visibility and Deep Diving certification or equivalent or have logged significant experience (at least 5 dives) in the these Specialty programs • Logged no less than 40 open water dives with 25 hours or more.
