See Brighton from the water with this kayaking experience. You don’t need any experience as our qualified kayaking instructors will be on hand to kit you up, give you a safety brief before leading you out on the water. We launch near Brighton Marina which is just over a mile from East of the Brighton Pier (formally known as the Palace Pier). On flat days we will explore the seafront and paddle along towards the pier, we’ll be on hand to teach you how to control your boat and keep your kayak in a straight line (the hardest thing in kayaking). If there is surf then we’ll teach you how to ride the waves so you can carve up the surf! At the end of the session if you’re feeling brave enough you can try out a capsize drill (if you haven’t fallen in already!) This is not compulsory but is great fun and will help your boost confidence should you decide to continue kayaking in the future. Cost: Group Bookings - 2 Hours £45pp (Group Size 4-8) £42pp (Group Size 9-16) Please note that all group bookings will be available for others to book, unless booking for a minimum of 6 people. Prerequisites There are no prerequisites for this kayaking course, but being able to swim 50m and having a reasonable level of fitness is preferable. Please Note: If the sea conditions on the day are too rough, then we use a second venue in Shoreham Harbour (approximately 15mins drive away) - you will need your own transport.
