Boat Rental Terms Payment & Refunds - 7-Day Cancellation Policy: - - Renters may cancel up to 7 days before the rental date for a full refund. - Cancellations made less than 7 days before the rental date will not qualify for a refund. - Refund Policy: - - A full refund will be provided under the following circumstances: - - The owner cancels the reservation. - Unsafe weather conditions prevent the rental. - The boat is unavailable for use. - The boat is not in good working condition at the time of rental. - No Refunds for Early Returns: Returning the boat earlier than the agreed time does not qualify for a refund. Boat Usage & Conduct - No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited on the boat. - No Shoes: Shoes are not allowed on the boat to protect surfaces. - No Captain Provided: Renters are responsible for operating the boat or providing a licensed operator. - Life Jackets for Kids: All children aged 12 and under must wear life jackets at all times while on the boat. - No Racing or Full Throttle: Racing or operating the boat at full throttle is prohibited. - Reckless Operation Prohibited: The boat is equipped with a live tracker that monitors current conditions, speed, RPMs, engine data, etc. - - If the renter is observed riding recklessly, such as: - - Driving too fast. - Making sharp turns. - Engaging in unsafe behavior that endangers themselves or other boaters. - The rental will immediately terminate, and the renter must return to the dock immediately. - If the renter refuses to comply, the Coast Guard and towing services will be contacted, and any related fees will be the renter's responsibility. - No refunds will be issued if the rental is terminated early due to reckless operation. Fees, Damage, & Liability - Cleaning Fees: A cleaning fee will apply if the boat is returned dirty. - Damage Responsibility: Renters are responsible for any damage caused during the rental period and must cover repair costs. - Late Return Fee: A minimum fee equivalent to one hour’s rental will apply for late returns. - Fuel Not Included: Renters are responsible for refueling the boat; fuel costs are not included in the rental fee. Specific Liability Situations - Shallow Water & Towing: If the boat gets stuck in shallow water, the renter is fully responsible for arranging and covering the cost of towing services. - Engine Damage: Renters are responsible for any engine damage resulting from the following: - - Overheating. - Engine drag in sand. - Operating the engine too high out of the water, causing it to run dry. - All repair and diagnostic costs will be the renter’s responsibility.
