OwnerCascais is my hometown. Twenty minutes driving from Lisbon, by the sea, where I spent my childhood and learned to sail. My father wasn't very much of a sailor but loved boats. Bought a fishing boat where painting was a family job and later a 52 feet wooden black ketch, designed by Max Oertz. The boat of my youth. Been sailing all my life. In 2007 I bought an old wooden boat, turned it into a sailing barge and started racing and taking part on traditional boat meetings in the Tagus. Wrote a book on the subject ("Canoas do Tejo" in 2009) In 2010, I brought Halcyon I to Cascais, from the Algarve, and started a one year recovery in a shipyard, in Seixal, and on the anchor. After realizing Cascais wasn't the best place for boat tours, moved Halcyon I to Lisbon and started doing historical boat tours, that are turning into a success, as you can confirm by our reviews on TripAdvisor. Halcyon I is a family's business. Been living on board since 2010 and it's always me, who answers your calls or emails.
