Light tackle sight fishing on the saltwater flats of Mosquito Lagoon for 1 or 2 anglers. Target redfish, seatrout, and drum year round with seasonal opportunities for tarpon and snook. This trip is designed for anglers with fishing and casting experience. Those with less experience can check out my easy catching trips with live bait. Everything is provided except food and drink. Rates: • Flats Fishing for 1 or 2 Anglers (4 hours): $500 • Flats Fishing for 1 or 2 Anglers (6 hours): $600 • Flats Fishing for 1 or 2 Anglers (8 hours): $800 A 3rd adult may be added for an additional fee. 1 or 2 small children can be added as well What You Can Expect: Experience great year-round saltwater flats fishing for redfish, sea trout, drum, and more. I offer two types of inshore saltwater trips. An easy-catching trip for a wide variety of fish great for kids and people with limited fishing experience. I also offer a technical sight fishing trip with light tackle or fly on the flats of the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon inside the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. I have been fishing these waters for over 25 years. In addition to the fishing, customers can experience the abundant wildlife from manatee and dolphins to alligators, stingrays, and a wide variety of birds. Fishing charters include all licenses, baits, and tackle. Anglers provide their own food and beverage. No experience necessary. These shallow protected flats allow access to excellent saltwater fishing without the big waves and seasickness of offshore trips. What To Expect Onboard: I fish out of a well-maintained 16ft Hewes Bayfisher. This boat is extremely stable and rides through rough water easily while still able to get onto the shallow flats to stalk redfish. The boat is equipped with a push pole, Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor, a GPS, and a power pole. It is powered by a 90hp Yamaha motor. I have been the sole owner of this vessel. It is able to quietly fish the flats but can also cross rough water bays on windy days and get to areas many lightweight skiffs cannot go. If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay. Just hit, “Request to Book” and send us an inquiry for a custom offer.
I am excited to be a part of the GetMyBoat movement in making boats more accessible and affordable to others. I hope to get out on the water more and help boating grow.
