No licens required. Göta Canal stretches from Sjötorp on Lake Vänern to Mem on the east coast. It has a length of 190 kilometres and a total of 58 locks. Of this distance, 87 kilometres are man-made. The lakes through which the canal passes make up 103 kilometres of its length. All journeys starts and ends from the middle of the canal Motala. We provide you with a route plan there you have priority in the locks and fixed places in the guest harbours there you also charge the boat during the night.
