Severe Weather is a circumstance in which your charter can be postponed without penalty. For example, a named storm such as a Hurricane, Lightning, Heavy Thunderstorms (Yellow or Red on the radar) during the charter date & times. In this case, the charterer will receive a voucher for the same yacht, to be redeemed by you or someone you designate, within one year of your original charter date. Rain and/or lots of clouds do not qualify as a reason for canceling. Mechanical Failure is a rare occurrence. However, it can happen at any time. If we’re not able to provide the charterer with a functioning yacht by the time of the charter, he/she will receive a full refund. If the yacht breaks down during your charter, he/she will receive a partial refund, based on the time of the breakdown. A vast majority of our charters do NOT run into cancellation or postponement issues, due in large part to the consistently good boating climate in Southeast Florida and our good yacht maintenance practices.
