It is a bird sanctuary, hosting many different species of seabirds, which makes it a place of great interest for nature lovers. The Island also has a long safe sandy beach, which is ideal for picnics, swimming and relaxing in the peace and quiet away from the mainland. The ruins of St. Nessans Church dating back to 700 AD and a Martello tower from the 19th century are also located there for all to explore. Bird Watching The Sea stack and Cliffs on Irelands Eye are a renowned for fantastic bird life including hosting the biggest Colony of Gannets on the East coast of Ireland. Our boat trips offer a unique opportunity to view these birds from the sea enabling you to see these birds nesting and feeding in their natural Habitat. M.V Oriel is a Mitchell 31 which is a very popular Design of Angling/Charter boat. She is fully licensed by Dept. Of transport and has all safety equipment onboard including Lifejackets and Liferaft.
