Join us as we cruise through the tidal creeks behind Folly Beach where you will have the opportunity to see the local wildlife as we make our way to the southern point of Morris Island. Price is $135 per hour, 2-hour minimum booking. As we approach this uninhabited island, the first landmark you will see is the Morris Island Lighthouse, which has stood in this spot since 1876. Upon our arrival, we will exit the boat, and you will have the opportunity to explore the island at your own pace. Morris Island is one of the best places in the world to look for shark teeth, fossils or shells. You may also want to relax on the beach and take in the sights and sounds of the ocean. - Alcohol: You may bring Alcoholic Beverages. Please keep in mind that there is no restroom on the boat and it is very hot in the summer months and alcohol may inhibit your ability to stay hydrated. If the Captain determines that a guest is intoxicated to a point where it is no longer safe for them to be on board, the tour will end and the vessel will return to the dock. No refund will be given. - Restrooms: There are no bathrooms on the boat. The closest restroom to the boat landing are in the park across the street. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes ahead of time so you may use the restrooms before we depart. - Dog Friendly: We do allow dogs, please let us know ahead of time if you would like to bring your fur baby. Dogs will not be allowed on the cushions on the bow, as their claws can tear the upholstery. - Small Children: Children of all sizes count toward your 6 passenger limit. Capt. P.D. was born in Charleston, SC. Although he moved to the SC Foothills when he was six, his summers were spent with family in Charleston exploring the tidal creeks. Returning to the Lowcountry full-time in 2008 to attend the College of Charleston, he would graduate in 2011 with a degree in biology. Observing and learning about animals and the surrounding ecosystems has been P.D.’s passion from a young age. Exploring the islands around Charleston learning about the local ecosystem and looking for shark teeth and fossils has provided P.D. with a wealth of knowledge about the local ecosystem. In 2022, P.D. decided to turn his love of being on the water into a profession and went to school to become a captain so he could share his experiences with others.
