Captain Rick
For 26 years, Captain Rick has called the lake his home. His journey began in his early 20s with a passion for wakeboarding, which soon evolved into teaching the sport to people of all ages. This enthusiasm naturally led him to a distinguished career as a captain on the stunning Highland Lakes chain of Texas. Rick began his career on Lake Travis, navigating large party barges, before moving on to his current role, where he commands upscale charter boats on picturesque Lake Austin. His expertise extends beyond high-end vessels; he also pilots pontoon boats, gives wakeboarding lessons, and teaches boat operation. When he's off the clock, you can find Rick riding behind a boat, snowboarding, wrangling snakes and reptiles, and spending quality time with his family.

The county charges a fee to enter the park and board a vessel. Entry fees are as follows: - $5 /person (CASH ONLY) - $3 /person (CASH ONLY) (62 years & older) - $0 /person (Children 12 year and younger) BOARDING TIME: Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to departure. PARKING: Plan to arrive by Uber, Lyft or Fetii. Parking onsite is for boat trailers only.
