Captain Ron does not control the weather. So when we say we had a PERFECT DAY with him, we laugh to think how nice the weather was. Ron is such a cool guy. He is super mellow, but a great conversationalist. He taught us a lot about sailing and the local archipeligo. Can't recommend him enough.
very nice and easy going captain . We missed the first ferry and arrived 2 hours behind schedule. Ron did Not charge extra for waiting. It was a Great trip. Will come again next May.
Ron's love of the sea began as a child with outings on the family boat and fishing with his father in the Victoria area. After spending 30 years in northern BC he returned to the coast a few years ago. Ron started his formal training in sailing in 1990 by completing a 'Cruise and Learn' course. After a couple of charters, he was 'bitten' by the sailing bug. He continued to upgrade his skills by completing a coastal navigation course, piloting, advanced piloting and a marine weather course. He also holds a restricted radio operators license.
