This was our first GetMyBoat rental so I was a bit skeptical going in but our experience with David couldn’t have been better. He dropped the pontoon off at our Airbnb dock (and picked up) and gave us the run down on operation. The pontoon itself was in flawless shape and ran great. It was a highlight of our trip to explore Lake Norman by boat. If we find ourselves back on Lake Norman we will be renting from David again.

Decisions will be based on official weather reports and made 24 hours in advance. 2. **Late Arrivals and No-Show Policy**: - Customers are advised to arrive on time. A grace period of 30 minutes is allowed; beyond this, late arrivals may result in reduced rental time. - No-shows or cancellations without at least 48 hours' notice will incur a full rental charge, except in cases of severe weather conditions as noted above. 3. **Safety Considerations**: - All renters must participate in a mandatory safety briefing before departure. - Life jackets provided must be worn by all passengers at all times while on the boat, especially children and non-swimmers. 4. **Boat Usage Rules**: - The boat must not exceed the maximum capacity of 12 passengers at any time. - The consumption of alcohol is strictly monitored according to state boating laws; operating the boat under the influence is prohibited and grounds for immediate termination of the rental without a refund. - Renters are responsible for any damage to the boat due to negligence or non-compliance with the rules provided during the briefing. 5. **Environmental Compliance**: - Renters are required to avoid restricted areas and adhere to all local boating and environmental laws, including proper trash disposal and avoidance of wildlife disturbances. 6. **Fuel Policy**: - The boat must be returned with a full tank of fuel. Renters can refuel the boat themselves or pay for the refuel service at check-out, based on current marina rates. 7. **Equipment Use**: - While the pontoon is suitable for various water activities, renters must bring their own gear for activities like tubing or wakeboarding. The company is not responsible for injuries resulting from personal equipment use. Implementing these policies helps protect both the business and the customers, ensuring safety and compliance while providing a framework for handling common rental issues effectively.
