Frequently Asked Questions Is there an weigh limit? Paddle Boards have a weight capacity of 225 pounds, and you should be capable of swimming and able to get yourself back up on the board if you fall into the water. Single kayaks have a weight capacity of 330lbs. Double kayaks have a weight capacity of 550lbs. Do I have to wear PFD/life jasket? Keep in mind that this is a water sport, so you should expect to get wet. You have the potential of falling into the water so you should have the ability to swim. PFDs (Personal Flotation Devices or Life Jackets) should be worn at all times. Please understand that our rentals are not intended to be diving or swimming platforms and your safety while on the water is your responsibility. We understand that at some point you may be in the water for whatever reason. Please be safe at all times by being mindful of the depth of water, conditions, and other water craft. For your safety we recommend personal flotation devices (PFDs), commonly known as life jackets, to worn at all time. Children under 13 are required to wear a PFD at all times. If you are older than 13, you must have the PFD on the kayak/stand-up paddle board when you leave the dock. What to bring? Here is a basic list of suggestions for you to bring. Not only will your trip be more comfortable, but sometimes safer.
