BARE BOAT RENTAL AGREEMENT – SELF-DRIVER --- Rental Conditions · Capacity: Maximum 11 people. Provide passenger count and ages of children at booking. · Cruising Area: Marina cruising only. Do not exit the Marina or enter open ocean – GPS tracked. Violation results in a $1,500 penalty. · Arrival: Arrive early – traffic and parking can be difficult. Late arrivals will not extend your reservation and you will be charged for the full booked time. · Driver Requirements: Driver must be 21+ with a valid CA driver license or boating license. Captain available for $75/hour. Nighttime rentals require a captain. · Security Deposit: $500 hold for damages or incidents. · Weather Policy: Rain or shine. In case of weather advisory, credit for future rides only. --- Restrictions · No smoking, vaping, drugs, or illegal substances · No pets · No red wine · No shoes onboard – shoes go in the basket · No large coolers – small coolers or bags only · No swimming, jumping, docking, or anchoring --- Rental Guidelines 1. No Shoes On Board – Sandals recommended. 2. No Stopping – Keep the tour continuous. 3. Stay in the Middle – Maintain 500 ft distance from breakpoints and exits. Do not exit the Marina. 4. Wildlife – Do not feed birds, sea lions, or wildlife. 5. Drinks & Food – Keep drinks in hand or cup holders. No glass containers. Spills/stains result in deposit forfeiture. 6. Inspection – Check for damage before boarding; document for your records. 7. Punctuality – Arrive 15 minutes early. Late returns: $50 per 5 minutes. Over 15 minutes late = no-show, no refund. 8. Drinking – Drink responsibly. 9. Emergency – Call 911, then your contact. 10. Speed – Keep at half power. Full power may overheat the motor and cause damage. 11. Life Jackets – Located under driver’s seat. Ask before departure. 12. Driving – No brakes. Reverse slowly; avoid head-on collisions. Turn left or right behind incoming boats. 13. Rocks & Boats – Stay 100 ft from rocks and all parked boats. 14. Wakes – Cross wakes at a 45° angle to avoid splashes. 15. Liability – Renter assumes full responsibility for accidents, damages, and passengers. Boat out of commission = minimum $1,000/day lost earnings. 16. Acknowledgment – By booking, you agree to all terms above. This is a Bare Boat Charter – no captain or crew is provided. Renter assumes full responsibility for operation of the vessel.
