Kayak to the beach. Collect sea shell. Total distance 3-5 km. On this trip, I will take you to an Isolated and pristine beach at Mulki, India. Here river Shambhavi meets the Arabian Sea. Beach is beautiful, with clear water. Waves from the sea break on one side, and the river silently flows on the other side of the beach. Beach is full of the sea shell, and the orange sky during the sunset makes it a truly mesmerizing experience. Total distance is 4 km(including both ways). We leave the kayak on the river side of the beach, where there is no current in the water. And then walk towards the sea. We take the kayak and head back after the sunset. Challenger: River Shambhavi Kayak in the backwaters. Eat local food by the river side. Total distance 20 km. On this trip, I will take you on the kayak trip in river Sambhavi. River Shambhavi starts from western ghats and meets the Arabian Sea. River hardly touches any town or city. Away from the population, river Shambhavi is known for its natural beauty. Surrounded by dense trees, the river is the perfect gateway to nature. We also get to see lots of Indian and foreign birds in the river. It is one full day long journey. Total distance is 20 km(including both ways). Explore River Shambhavi Kayak till the first water dam of river Shambhavi. Camp near the river at night. Gaze the sky. Two Day, One night trip. Total Distance 25 km. On this trip, we will paddle the kayak from the Arabian Sea to the start of western ghats. We will start the trip at Kolchi Kambla, Mulki. The trip will end at Palimar dam. After reaching the Palimar dam we will anchor our kayak and walk to the other side of the dam. Salty Seawater from the Arabian sea goes all the way till Palimar dam. Once we cross the dam, the water comes directly from the western ghats(Kudremukh). After the dam, the river is clear and fresh. It's breathtaking to swim and dive into the beautiful landscape. You won't believe this beauty is such a well-kept secret. On Day 1, we will kayak a whole day around 6-9 hours from morning 7 AM to 6 PM. After starting from Mulki, we will stop after the Kochi-Panvel highway bridge for snacks and refreshment break. We will also take small water breaks in between. After paddling all the way to the campsite, will have home-cooked lunch at the campsite. Post lunch, we will take a 1-hour break. After taking much-needed rest at the campsite we will start again and kayak to the Palimar dam. Palimar dam has a great diving spot and swimming area. After sunset, we will paddle back to the campsite within 6 pm. At night we will camp, do barbecue, eat home-cooked dinner, do camp-fire, play music. Next morning at 5:00 AM, we wake up and start preparing to return back. After having breakfast, we start kayaking back to the beach, which is very close to the starting point. Most groups are able to reach back by 9:00 morning. This beach is the most secluded beach of Mangalore/Udupi region. This pristine beach is cut off from the human reach by 3 km. We spend an hour on the beach and then return to the starting point by 11:00AM. Coastal Karnataka: The Beautiful Part Before we start our kayaking journey, every participants has to go through the basic training to start sea kayaking. Only when you complete the training you will be eligible to participate in this event. Training is organised independently of this event. You can take the training in advance or it can also be taken just before the event. Kayak through the most beautiful part of coastal Karnataka. This trip stretched from Karwar to Murudeshwar. Trip covers the coastline of Ankola, Gokarna, Kumta and Honnavar. Discover the most beautiful and virgin beach of Karnataka. I successfully completed my solo kayaking journey of Karnataka's coastline. It took me 8 days to kayak the coastline of Karnataka. It was a journey that I will never forget. Watching the beautiful western ghats falling into the Arabian sea, the dolphin dancing around my kayak, beautiful sunrise behind the mountains. The trip was a mesmerising experience. It became a story worth sharing for the years to come. I believe that more of us should see what I saw. It is one of the most beautiful things to see in Karnataka(arguably India). Typical Day is like, we get up early in the morning. Have fruits, milk and protine suppliment as breakfast. Halt during noon for 1.5 hour to have lunch at local beach hotel. Start post lunch break and finish an hour before sunset for camping. At night if there is any restaurant on the beach, we can have food at the restaurant, otherwise we will eat pre-prepared food that we will be carrying with us Since every day we will have 8 hours to paddle an average 20km. We need to maintain slow speed of 2.5km/hours of paddling. If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay.
