For Getmyboat owner Richelle, what began as a small side gig—helping manage a couple of boats—quickly turned into a full-fledged career in Miami’s boating scene. Now, she runs a growing fleet, creating unforgettable experiences for her guests while balancing life as a mom and business owner. It hasn’t always been easy, but she’s tackled every challenge with passion and perseverance.
For Richelle, boating isn’t just about being out on the water—it’s about sharing that love with others and making every trip special, and there's nothing better than seeing her guests light up as they take in Miami’s stunning skyline from the deck of a boat. Whether she’s helping someone plan the perfect surprise celebration or just giving first-time boaters an incredible day on the water, she loves bringing people together and making memories that last a lifetime.
I’ve been in the boating industry for six years, starting when I met a boat owner while working as a customer service representative for another boating website. I began managing his two small boats, and over time, the business grew as I took on managing boats for his friends and colleagues. Eventually, we expanded the fleet by acquiring larger vessels. As a mom, it hasn’t always been easy, but this journey has empowered me. I’ve been fortunate to build a thriving business in Miami, support my family, and create opportunities by employing friends and relatives. It’s been a truly rewarding experience.
Boating is more than just a job, it’s a lifestyle that I’ve grown to love deeply. I enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life, hearing their stories, and helping create unforgettable experiences on the water.
One of my favorite memories was organizing a surprise anniversary celebration for a couple. Seeing their joy as they renewed their vows against the backdrop of the ocean was incredibly moving. Moments like that remind me of the power of what we do, bringing people together and creating memories they’ll cherish forever.
