All Getmyboat operators must strictly adhere to and take full responsibility for complying with all applicable local regulations governing boating activities on Bass Lake. This entails obtaining the necessary registrations, passes, and permits, as well as ensuring that both vessels and captains meet the established criteria. Additionally, operators are mandated to utilize designated docks and commercial boating areas exclusively, and must strictly abide by all other requirements outlined in local ordinances and facility regulations.

Boat/Vessel Registration:

To operate any motorized vessel or sailboat exceeding eight feet in length on California waterways, registration with the DMV is mandatory. California Department of Motor Vehicles

Pollution Control Permit:

All vessels/boats operating on Bass Lake within Madera County are required to have a Pollution Control Permit at all times.

The permit must be stored within the specified boat and be accessible for examination at any given moment

Insurance:

Captain's License:

To legally operate charter vessels within Bass Lake, captains must hold a valid US Coast Guard license that aligns with the size and type of vessel they command. For vessels accommodating up to six passengers, a 6-pack license is mandatory. For larger vessels exceeding six passengers, a Master Captain's license is essential. As the captain, it's your ultimate responsibility to safeguard both the charter vessel and all passengers on board. Boaters Education Certificate:

In California, individuals under the age of 20 must hold a Boater's Education Certificate to operate a motorized vessel.
