Cancellations from our end We will cancel in the event of violent/severe weather or issuance of small craft or Gale warnings by the National Weather Service. Rescheduling from our end We may reschedule in the event of inclement weather. Sailboats can go through hurricanes, but it isn't fun. • Complete reschedule - we may have to move the entire charter or course to another weekend • Partial reschedule - we may have to move just 1 day of a 2-day sailing instruction course to another weekend day • Note: the instructor may halt a course or Charter in the middle of a day if the weather worsens drastically. The captain reserves the right to cancel the course/charter at any time when winds exceed 20 knots, or the National Weather Service extends a SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY or greater for the sailing area. • Note: Students and charterers are advised to watch the weather forecasts and, if inclement weather is approaching, to call an hour and a half before scheduled class time. Payments and Refunds (90%) REFUND: Cancellations made 4 days or more prior to the charter date are subject to 90% refund if no new charter date is established or unless otherwise discussed with the Charter Captain. (80%) REFUND: Cancellations made within 3 days of the charter date are subject to 80% refund if no new charter date is established or unless otherwise discussed with the Charter Captain. SAILING LESSONS: Want to learn how to sail or advance your sailing skills and knowledge? Contact us regarding the courses offered, their curriculum and cost. Upon completion of a course, a Certificate of Completion, under-signed by a USCG licensed Captain is awarded to add to your Sailing Resume. RATES: - 2 Day Basic Coastal Cruising - $1300.00 per person. Includes: Navigation, Marine /Boat Safety, Under motor operations, Human Overboard Retrieval; docking and more. 16 hours - 1 Day Basic Sailing Course - $700.00 per person. Includes parts of boat, points of sail - 8 Hours - 2 Day Basic Navigation Course. $1500.00 per person. Includes, charts and chart work; course planning and plotting; on water cruising based on chart work - 14 Hours - 3 Day "Beginner to Competent" (but don't know it all); $2100.00; combines basic sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising courses Course Completion Certificates under signature of USCG licensed Captain will be presented. On request, course curriculum will be sent to prospective charter companies requesting Renter qualifications.
