What paperwork is required? Upon booking, the primary guest (reserver) will receive an email containing the charter agreement and participant waiver form. Prior to departure, the primary is responsible for distributing the participant waiver form to all the guests. Only the primary reserver needs to complete the charter agreement form. What if I’m running late the day of my charter? While we understand delays happen, extending the charter may not be possible due to availability. Charters are scheduled according to the reservation’s start and stop times. Should extended time be possible, an additional charge will be incurred. If you are running late, please contact your captain with anticipated arrival time. Can I bring food and beverages aboard? Yes! You are more than welcome to bring aboard your own food and beverages. However, red wine, cranberry juice, chocolate cake, and other staining items are prohibited. We are happy to recommend local private chef services and catering recommendations. What should I wear? The temperature on the water can change throughout the day so we highly recommend you wear layers. We recommend you bring a light sweater or jacket as well. Shoes must be removed before boarding. What’s provided during my charter? We provide soft drinks and bottled water. The galley is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, beverage bins, pots, pans, serving trays, plastic cups, paper plates, and utensils. What are the safety precautions and rules aboard my charter? The safety of our guests and crew is our top priority. Coast guard approved life jackets available for all guests aboard. Life jackets are required for children under 13. No smoking allowed. We adore our furry family members but only service pets are allowed aboard. We love being festive and decorations are encouraged for your special event (Captain’s hats for the entire party, all white everything and pirate themed all make for some amazing photos). Please note, we do not allow balloons, confetti, and sparklers. This is to protect the incredible sea creatures and sea life we love enjoying while on the yachts. Is gratuity included in the booking price? Gratuity is not included in the booking price of your charter. Although not required, 10% – 20% gratuity to our hardworking crew is greatly appreciated, payable via Venmo or cash. How many people can come aboard for my charter? All of our charters aboard our yachts are Bareboat charters and therefore the max capacity is 12 guests. What is a bareboat charter? A bareboat charter is a vessel that is leased by the owner to another person (a charterer) for a period of time and the charterer has the right to choose their own crew. Once the charterer takes possession of the vessel, the charterer becomes entirely responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel and its passengers. The owner of the vessel is generally not responsible for any collision, personal injuries, and wages for the crew. The charterer is responsible for the vessel’s crew, fuel, insurance, any maintenance and repairs, and any liability associated with use and possession of the vessel. The charterer must have the option of selecting and paying crew and may discharge the master or any crew member without referral to the owner. The owner may require general levels of proficiency for the crew that is retained based on federal statutes; and charterers and passengers are solely responsible for making sure they understand and agree to the terms of any bareboat charter agreement.
