Formally a Japanese car ferry the King Cruiser was converted to transport passengers between Phi Phi and Phuket. She sank with over 100 travellers on board in 1997 after striking Anemone Reef whilst on her way to the port Phuket. All passengers survived the disaster. The top of the wreck is now at about 20 metres with the bottom at approximately at 32 metres. She is 85 metre long and 35 metre wide wreck sits basically upright and is in very poor condition these days and and is considered unsafe to penetrate. The waters around the wreck have strong currents and the visibility can be poor which makes it a dive site only for the experienced. If you have not been diving on the King Cruiser Wreck you are missing out on diving one of the most easily accessible and truly alive wrecks in Thailand and by far the largest wreck we have here. There is also no chance of missing the wreck as we have a mooring line attached to it allowing divers to descend easily even in strong currents and a great way to do your safety stops. The Cruiser is 86 Meters long and some days it’s hard to see it because of the swarming snapper, barracuda and other schooling fish life. Massive Mangrove Snapper and Grouper hideout in the wreckage and Nuidbranch cover the wreck. Beyond the King Cruiser we have Shark Point, 3 underwater pinnacles with a spectacular array of life and famed for Tiger Tail Sea Horses and Leopard Sharks,  not to mention stingrays, bent stick pipe fish and every type of moray and scorpion fish you can think of.
