I didn’t know what to expect using an app for a fishing charter, but boy did Captain Dana deliver! Every aspect of the trip was spot on. Captain Dana is a local to Gloucester his entire life and the only thing more impressive than the tidbits of historical information he provided, was the amount of fish he put us on the entire trip. We limited out with plenty of time left to catch and release several more. I’ve been stripper fishing in several of the best locales and our experience with Captain Dana was the best striped bass fishing I’ve done. Live baits around the the beautiful rock formations and expert instructions and great company, set up for an amazing day. Thanks a million Captain, we will be booking you again!

My husband and I had a fabulous day out at sea with Captain Dana! Dana is super knowledgeable and full of fun facts about Gloucester and the surrounding areas. For first time fishers, he was very patient with us and taught us everything we needed to know - and we ended up catching over a dozen mackerel for bait and 4 nice sized striped bass. On top of that, Dana was authentically New England and just the nicest guy. A great experience and we hope to do it again soon!

Great trip! Captain Dana took us to a school of pogies where we snagged a bunch to use as bait and then caught three large stripers, all in the 38" range. Dana is an interesting guy who also patiently answered all our questions about the fishing industry, Gortons, and life in Cape Ann in general. He's been the area his entire life and has his captain's license. We felt confident we were in good hands.

We had a blast! Family outing for Father’s Day exceeded our expectations. Grandma’s first trip on the ocean, better than ever imagined. First fish ever caught, our son is now hooked on fishing! Thank you Captain Dana! We will back very soon 😎

Captain Dana is THE BEST! We had an incredible fishing trip with him, and my 9 year old son is in absolute awe of the fish we caught. Captain Dana is incredibly informative, patient, and fun. The boat was the perfect size for our group of 6.
I am the owner of the business, I’m a lifelong Gloucester resident and have been fishing since I’ve been old enough to hold a fishing rod. I worked at Gorton’s in Gloucester for 39 years and retired at the end of 2016 to combine my passion for the ocean and fishing by starting the business. (Life After Gorton’s). In preparation for my new career I obtained my U.S.C.G. license in 2016. But don’t worry I have been fishing the waters off Cape Ann for 20 years for Striped Bass and Bluefish in a variety of boats. I have a perfect safety record. Safety has been and always will be my first priority.

Frequently Asked Questions Do you clean our catch? Absolutely. I encourage catch and release fishing; but I’ll be more than happy to clean your catch. Can I drink alcohol on the fishing trip? Alcohol is allowed, but in cans or plastic bottles only. No glass please. Should I bring my own cooler? A small cooler is fine. I have coolers on the boat for fish and for drinks. What do we do if the weather is bad? The Captain will monitor the weather conditions and decide if it is safe to go fishing. Safety is our first priority; we will not be able to fish in poor conditions. I will request your cell phone number when confirming your trip. I will contact you a day or two in advance to inform you of any cancellations or delays. Do you have a bathroom on the boat? There is a porta-potti located in the center console. The center console is large enough to accommodate most folks. Do you allow kids on charters? Of course! There’s nothing better than helping kids catch their first fish. Kids under 12 are free. Of course they must be old enough to fish by themselves.
