*Please top off fuel before returning. Renters are responsible to replenish boat fuel. REGULAR RESCHEDULING: Once booked we hold the boat out of rental availability and turn business away for that date and time. The ability to reschedule is limited therefore, and based on the general popularity of the day – weekends are always busy – and length of time rescheduling is requested in advance of the original booking. REGULAR CANCELLATION: As we are a boating company we go rain or shine. If there is a category storm – hurricane, tropical storm etc. – then the owner will have the client reschedule or cancel without penalty. There is no cancellation within 30 days without penalty. If you decide to cancel you will get charged 50% of the rental fee – 100% if it is a holiday cancellation. In the case of a client cancellation South River Boat Rentals offers the option of purchasing a Gift Certificate for the full amount of the booking which will enable the client to book at a later date. The Gift Certificate has no expiration date. If you have a captain booked and you give 4 days’ notice of cancellation you do not have to pay a captain’s fee. If you cancel within 4 days and you have requested a captain you will be charged the captain’s fee along with 50% of the rental fee – 100% if it is a holiday cancellation. The Gift Certificate, however, remains an option instead of paying the penalty. The Gift Certificate applies to the boat only – you will still need to pay additional for the captain when you book your gift certificate.
