Namaskar/Namaste Welcome to Varanasi ! My name is Shwetank . People call me Monu from my nickname. I was born and raised in the alleyways of Varanasi – the holy Hind City located on the banks vof the River Ganges (Ganga). Varanasi is a city where time has stood still for centuries. It is what I refer to as “the real India”. We continue to live in communion with nature and we see the goodness in all creation. Our proximity to and relationship with Ganges defines us. The power of my city is so profound, that I have dedicated my life sharing its goodness with people from all over the world. I’ve spent most of my life in this city. I used to play cricket in the twisty alleyways of Varanasi. My father, started a small business in Tourism in 1997 where I also helped him, while studying at the same time. My studies at Banaras Hindu University included English Literature, history, and politics. In 2008, I completed my degree in Instrumental Music. I am still active teaching music in my community as well as leading public performances. I am connected to Tourism since 1997. My love for music had allowed me to be part of many local projects as well as some international documentaries. More recently I have been learning French which I can read, write, and speak fluently. I am also fluent in English, Hindi, and Bhojpuri. Not only am I a part of Varanasi, but Varanasi is a part of me. My tours will very quickly reveal to you the beauty that resides in this city, but also you will experience that this same beauty resides in you. There are many ways that you can touch and experience this beauty. We will go for walks in the city and along the ghats. We will go for boat rides (sunrise and sunset) on the Ganges. We will eat some of the best food in India that you will never find on your typical tours. My tours are not for only monuments but instead to get close to the locals. I will invite you to meet my family and you will be greeted with the warmest of hospitality. India is an amazing place to live with full of vast culture and variety and it is really hard for outsiders to understand it. With my Tours, you will catch a unique glimpse of this country and gain a better understanding of the entire country. You will be in my personal care around the trip where you can do so safely and at your own pace. I organize private tours to other destinations such as Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Bodh Gaya and other parts of India. Please feel free to drop me a message if you want to book tours with me
