I choose this for my birthday with several friends. It was an unforgettable experience! Our captain was incredibly kind and fun. He made us feel comfortable and welcomed from the moment we boarded the ship and had all our drinks prepared beforehand. We saw the festival of lights and ate delicious Dutch cheeses . Our team consists of Captain Sebastian (“Sebi”) and Olivier, two true Amsterdammers who love our beautiful city. After years of captaining on the canals, we started our own company with a historic, now-modernized boat to deliver the ultimate cruise experience. Frequently Asked Questions Meeting point Our meeting point is at the dock in front of the Keizersgracht 196 Route Our route will take you through the historical Unesco canal belt, the red light district and other famous parts of Amsterdam. Toilet Yes we have a full operating toilet on board Drinks For the private tour drinks are in consultation and there is the option to bring your own food and drinks against a cork fee Children Children under 2 are free. Animals, buggy, wheelchair We do accept animals as long as they are well behaved and do not sit on the cushions. Buggies are no problem and we can also take a wheelchair aboard but do mind that the entry of the boat is not catered to disabled persons. Bad weather Our boat is covered and warm in windy and rainy conditions. We will only cancel the tour if a weather alarm is given by the local authorities. In this case we will of course inform you beforehand. Smoking Smoking is not allowed inside the boat but we do allow smoking on the rear-deck of the boat, separate from other passengers. More than 12 persons? If you are looking for a bigger boat for more than 12 people, inquire now. Terms and Conditions Delay 1. If the Customer isn’t present at the agreed time, additional costs made by our company will be charged on to the Customer. 2. In case of exceeding of the departure time the first fifteen minutes are at the expense of our company. For any further fifteen minutes delay or part thereof the Customer shall pay additional sailing time and additional costs for attendants, guides and other crew members. 3. Large delays caused by the Customer can result in the cancellation of (parts of) the program, without any right to repayment for the Customer. Catering 1. On board catering will be exclusively taken care of by our company itself, unless explicitly otherwise agreed between our company and customer. 2. Customer is obliged to pay the catering costs, as far as they haven’t been included in the quotation yet, within 14 days after the date of the invoice to our company. 3. If the customer doesn’t comply with his payment obligations within 14 days, the customer is in default without serving notice and that which the customer is indebted to our company will be increased with legal interests and non-legal expenses. These non-legal expenses add up to 15% of the amount of the invoice, at a minimum of €115. Cancellation by the Customer 1. In case of cancellation after the final confirmation customer is at all times obliged to pay €25 of administration costs. 2. In case of cancellation 6 weeks before the date of the round trip customer is obliged to pay 10% of the total amount. 3. In case of cancellation 6 to 2 weeks before the date of the round trip customer is obliged to pay 25% of the total amount. 4. In case of cancellation 2 to 1 week before the date of the round trip customer is obliged to pay 50% of the total amount. 5. In case of cancellation 7 to 2 days before the date of the round trip customer is obliged to pay 75% of the total amount. 6. In case of cancellation within 48 hours before the date of the round trip customer is obliged to pay 100% of the total amount. 7. Cancellation can only be done in writing. Partial cancellation 1. Diminution of the number of passengers or otherwise alteration of the contents of the agreement has to be done in writing. 2. A diminution of the number of passengers with a maximum margin of 10% of the original number of passengers can be introduced free of charges-48 hours prior to the round trip. After the afore-mentioned time the last known size of the group applies. 3. In case of diminution of the number of passengers of more than 10% the cancellation conditions of the above. 4. For additional passengers who aren’t introduced 48 hours before the round trip an additional price in fairness will be charged. The captain on duty decides on the admittance of additional passengers when the number of passengers indicated in the quotation is being exceeded. Cancellation and Relocation of the Canal Cruise by our Company 1. In the event of force majeure or unforeseen exceptional circumstances, our company reserves the right at all times to cancel the Agreement, for example in the event of extremely bad weather or ice on the water. 2. In the event of cancellation as referred to in the previous paragraph, our company will notify the Other Party of this at the earliest opportunity and refund the amount paid by the Other Party at the earliest opportunity, without the Other Party being able to claim any further compensation. Force Majeure 1. Our company is not obliged to fulfill any obligation ensuing from the Agreement if and for as long as we are hindered in its efforts to do so by a circumstance not attributable to it by law, through a juristic act or according to generally accepted standards. 2.In the event that the situation of force majeure makes it permanently impossible to fulfill the Agreement, the Parties are entitled to dissolve the Agreement with immediate effect. 3.In the event that our company at the time the situation of force majeure occurs already carried out its obligations in part, or is able to carry out its obligations only in part, it will be entitled to charge the Other Party separately for the part of the Agreement already carried out or to be carried out, except in as far as this has no independent value in itself. 4.Damages incurred as a consequence of force majeure are never subject to compensation, without prejudice to the applicability of the previous paragraph. Liability of our company 1. Our company does not accept liability for loss of and/or damage to belongings of the Customer. The Customer takes aboard all of his or her belongings fully at his or her own risk. 2. Our company does not accept liability for loss as a result of death or injury of the Customer, except for loss caused by intent or gross negligence on the part of our company. 3. Our company does not accept liability for injury of persons or damage to belongings caused when entering the landing stage or the round trip vessel. The Customer enters the landing stage and round trip vessel fully at his or her own risk. 4. Our company does not accept liability for loss due to delay at departure or delay during the round trip. 5. Our company does not accept liability for indirect or consequential loss. 6. Notwithstanding the previous sections of this article 10, the liability of our company is at all times limited to the amount that is paid out under the insurance policy of our company. 7. As far as our company should happen to be liable for any loss which isn’t paid out under the insurance policy of Our company, the liability of our company is at all times limited to the amount of the invoice. Liability of the Customer 1. The Customer is liable for damage to the belongings of our company or any third-party caused by the Customer. 2. The Customer is liable for loss suffered by our company and for injury of the employees of our company caused by the Customer or his or her luggage. 3. All activities organised by our company occur fully at the Customer’s own risk. 4. The Customer indemnifies our company against third-party liability. Complaints 1. Any complaints have to be filed in writing at the latest within 2 days after the round trip. 2. Complaints that aren’t being filed in writing or aren’t being filed within 2 days after the round trip, will not be dealt with. 3. Contrary to the previous sections of this article 12, any complaints about the catering should be mentioned on the evening itself and explicitly to the present attendants.
