What kind of watercraft can I list?

Our goal is to make the experience of getting out on the water more accessible to everyone — from a weekend jet ski rental in the local lake, to a vacation yacht charter, to a bachelor party pontoon and everything else in between.

While we do welcome most types of unique watercraft and on the water activities, there are a couple of exceptions. We do not publish the following types of listings:

  • Individual tubes or inflatables

  • Non water related activities or tours

Also starting in 2024, we will only accept the following types of watercraft from verified and registered businesses:

  • Kayaks, Canoes, and Rafts

  • Paddleboards, SUP, and Flyboards

  • Jetskis and PWC

These new standards are part of our ongoing safety initiatives at Getmyboat. We take a proactive approach to keeping our renters safe and holding our owners to a high standard. These steps are not just about compliance; they're about building a culture of responsibility and care in the boating community.

What are the service fees?

Owners pay a 10% service fee for domestic U.S. transactions or 13% service fee for international fees. These service fees enable us to improve our platform and mobile apps, draw attention and traffic to listings like yours and provide you with excellent customer service when you need it most. The additional 3% for international currency covers the cost of exchange rate fee processing. Please note that if you use PayPal as a payout method, PayPal may charge their own service fees separate from Getmyboat.

For Charge, Getmyboat owners only pay a 1.5% fee for domestic U.S. transactions or 3% service fee for international fees.

Rental Operator Requirements By State

Getmyboat wants everyone to boat safely. Check out the United States Coast Guard website for information on federal laws and federal regulations, as well as navigation rulesBoat Ed offers safety courses by state.
