The river was not with us (or anyone else) this day. Caught several fish, and hooked a really big one. He got off the hook after he jumped about 3ft out of the water. Saw no one catching any fish that day. So I was more than happy with my experience.

If you are in northern Chile, this is your best option for fishing and sight seeing trips. Cristian and Diego are very knowledgeable and outgoing. They know the region, the water, and where to catch fish. Their equipment is nice and well maintained. Absolutely will be returning for another trip!

Guided Fly Fishing In Ensenada
Great trip. Jon told me before the trip that the water was high and the fishing slow. He was right the water was high but I still managed to boat some really nice fish. To be honest the scenery was so epic floating El Rio Petrohue that I wouldn't have been disappointed if I hadn't caught a fish. I plan to return and spend more time on the water. Sailing in Ilhabela is a great experience. But forget the beaches and sail around the island for an overnight at Saco do Sombrio.
