All boaters must follow local, federal, and facility rules. GetMyBoat operators must also follow local laws, which include obtaining permits and licenses, using the correct boats and captains, and picking up and dropping off passengers at designated locations.
There are a few things that boaters should keep in mind when boating on Lake Saguaro. First, the lake is located in a desert environment, so it is important to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen. Second, the lake has a number of coves and inlets, so it is important to be aware of your surroundings and navigate carefully. Third, the lake is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, snakes, and turtles. Boaters should be respectful of wildlife and avoid disturbing their habitat.
Registration
To renew or update your boat registration, visit the Arizona State Parks and Recreation website. It is required to have a valid copy of your registration for all boating activities.
Insurance
For passenger safety, legal compliance, and safeguarding your business in the boat rental service, securing appropriate insurance is essential. The necessary coverage can vary in different areas and harbors, based on the vessel's passenger capacity and the type of activity. It's the operator's responsibility to determine the required insurance, ensuring it meets the State's minimum standards.
Arizona Requirements
We strongly recommend going through a boater education course to operate a vessel. However, a valid U.S. driver's license or a boater education is sufficient for boat rentals.

Life Jackets
Life jackets must be easy to get to, in good condition, and the right size for the person wearing them. All boats 16 feet or longer, except canoes and kayaks, must also have a throwable flotation device on board that is approved by the US Coast Guard. This device can be thrown to someone in the water to help them float.
All children 12 years old and younger must wear a US Coast Guard-approved life jacket at all times while on a boat. The life jacket must be worn as recommended by the manufacturer and must fit snugly. All snaps, zippers, and fasteners must be closed.
Every person on a personal watercraft, such as a Jet Ski or Wave Runner, must wear a US Coast Guard-approved life jacket with all fasteners and closures secured as recommended by the manufacturer. The life jacket should also be adjusted to fit snugly.
Every person being towed behind a boat on water skis or a similar device must wear a life jacket.
