About

RENT BOATS FROM BOAT OWNERS. WORLDWIDE.

GetMyBoat enables the peer-to-peer boat rental marketplace and is changing the way the world goes boating. Launched in San Francisco in late 2012, GetMyBoat empowers owners of every type of boat, from kayaks to sailboats to motorboats, to post their watercraft for rent or charter for free. Anywhere in the world, from California to Croatia, our users search, find and book a boat they would like to rent.

Our mission is to open up the world of boating for both renters and owners. Boating enthusiasts get the benefits of worldwide inventory without the cost or headache of ownership. Boat owners get the chance to make owning a boat more affordable and potentially earn some income.

GetMyBoat’s roots date back a decade in the Caribbean. Long time friends, serial entrepreneurs, and founders of GetMyBoat, Sascha Mornell and Rafael Collado, were out on the water deciding to take on a few new ventures together. Of the many ventures that were discussed that day one of them revolved around a simple question. They asked themselves “Why can’t more people have access to great boating experiences for less?” 10 years later, with a few more successful business ventures under their belt, and the emergence of the sharing economy, Sascha and Rafael knew it was time to bring GetMyBoat to life. And thus the roots of GetMyBoat were born.

Our community connects people who share a similar passion for boating. We invite you to get on board, join our community and change the way the world goes boating.
